Fortnight in Photos #15

 This used to be the 'Sunday Post'. But I decided that I would just give you guys an update if I've been up to something interesting. Exactly a week ago I flew back after a fantastic two weeks in the States...that's interesting enough for a post right?? (It's also the reason the blog has been quiet for a couple of weeks, sorry!). 

 We spent the first week exploring Philadelphia and Washington D.C- both were very lovely places. My dad is American (but he lives in the UK) so we then spent the second week visiting our amazing family in Missouri. Take me back there please...

I went a bit overboard with the Instagram photos whilst I was there, so I thought I would share them with you. I'd love to hear if you've been to any of these places, are planning on going or can recommend any other places to visit in the States. I would definitely recommend taking a trip to Washing D.C if you can!

 Pretty new wallet, Marceline- Walt Disney's boyhood home, my mum and me chilling on the porch, The Arch in St Louis, Old Time Soda Fountain treats, my cousins absolutely wonderful dog Ferris. 

 My cousin Jessica and I enjoying some $1 hot dogs at the KC Royals baseball game, stray kittens- they were very very scared, a skirt I found in the thrift store for less than $3!

Fortnight in Photos #14

I haven't posted an Instagram round up for two months. Seeing as this is usually a Sunday post I thought today would be the perfect time to bring it back. So here are some photos from the last two weeks. I hope you all had lovely fortnights!

Fortnight in Photos #13

 Spent the day hanging out with waxwork people in Madame Tussauds. Watched (half of) The Great Gatsby. Drank a large hot chocolate with marshmallows to get rid of the Monday blues. Finally went to Chipotle in London. Bought some trainers- so I no longer have an excuse not to exercise. Tried out this pretty Nailsinc topcoat.

Became addicted to popcorn. Added some new things to my bedroom. Made the best fish finger sandwich ever. Organised my jewellery. Hung out with my cat. Tried out some new make up (which I recommend).

Fortnight In Photos #13

The last two weeks have flown by! I can't believe it's November already, it will be Christmas before we know it. The lead up to it is my favourite time of year and I'm already starting to plan lots of festive things. But before that I need to get through graduation, which is next Friday. I'll probably post about what I wear next week but for now here's what Ive been up to recently. 

Favourite popcorn, SO happy to meet Tom Fletcher, Biggie being extremely cute, night in with my friend who came to visit this weekend, favourite restaurant Wahaca, Harrods is looking Christmassy.

In love with the Soap & Glory Smoothie Bodybutter, decorating a desk at work with birthday balloons, re purchased bareMinerals Touch Up Veil, mini Ikea make over in my room, work looking very autumnal, jacket I'd been eyeing up in Primark was reduced.

Fortnight In Photos #12

I used to write this post every other Sunday, but I think it's been a month since the last one now. That's because I haven't been posting as many photos on Instagram and that's probably because I haven't been doing a lot, other than working. I've been keeping pretty busy in the evenings and weekends for the past two weeks though so here are some photos from those days...

Fortnight in Photos #11

I guess I haven't been sticking to the schedule where I said I would post on here every Wednesday and then one day of the weekend...sorry! It's because I STILL don't have proper internet at my new place (BT have been an absolute nightmare and it's actually getting a bit ridiculous now). I think for the moment I'll stick to one post a week, which will be up on a Saturday or a Sunday until everything gets back to normal. That way I can concentrate on talking about something interesting (hopefully) instead of always updating you with Instagram photos. I came home and stayed with my parents this weekend. It was so lovely to see them and also have a chance to catch up with my best friend and my cousin. My bedroom (which is my favourite place in the world) didn't really feel like it was mine anymore, even though lots of my things are still there. I can't figure out whether that's a good thing or not. I guess it is because it means that I'm comfortable with my bedroom in the new place? Has anyone else found that after moving out?

Stain glass window (perk of living in a converted church), Five Guys for the first time, cosy evening, another costing evening spent watching Fantastic mr Fox, lovely display in the Anthropologie window, my friend got a tiny new kitten called Audrey!

Oops...not quite, chilling out on a Saturday night last week, Mr Bigs...got in a fight and the cut adove his eye just makes him look shocked all the time, Biggie feeling sorry for himself, my best friend made this for my boyfriend and I as a house warming gift (I LOVE it), went for a new hairstyle and got quite a lot of my hair chopped off.

Fortnight in Photos #10

This post is going up slightly early but here's what I've been up to for the past two weeks...

Went home for the the bank holiday weekend and got a bit crafty, the finished product, grumpy Mr Bigs, beautiful ceiling at a random Thai restaurant, picnic time, view from the train on a Friday evening.

Twister lipbalm- smells and tastes nothing like a Twister lolly though! Cute Jams from France, pamper evening, drinks in the lovely weather after work, Bigs chilling in what can't be a comfortable position, eating lunch by the lake at work.

Fortnight in Photos #9

Souvenirs, cat highlighters from Paperchase, daily update of my cat from my dad, swing ball on a Sunday morning, new desk buddy, came home to my crazy cat this weekend. 

I've spent the last two weeks settling into my new job and looking for somewhere permanent to live. I finally feel like a real adult and spent half the time embracing this amazing opportunity but the other half has been spent feeling pretty stressed. I have come for a couple of days to spend the Bank Holiday weekend with Ben, my cat and some friends from home which has been really lovely.

Fortnight in Photos #8

I've spent the past two weeks enjoying the summer and making the most of the time I had off before I start my new job tomorrow. I'm moving to London today and it's so weird because I lived at home while I was at Uni so this will be the first time I've lived away from my home town as well as my family and best friend (and my cat!!). I'm really excited and can't believe how quickly it's come around! I will miss home though and plan to visit at weekends, but I also can't wait to get settled into my new job in The Big Smoke. I feel so... grown up. 

 Made a dinosaur pin board as a birthday present for my brother, BBQ with friends, matching pjs, bridge in Plymouth, cat toy and cola bottles soap, Biggie being naughty. 

Mum giving Bigs cuddles, walk on the beach, made cupcakes for last day of summer job, beautiful flowers, tried the new Orange Refresha at Starbucks and it was so good, Biggie and his little friend.

What have you been up to?

Fortnight in Photos #7

I've noticed that a lot more of you have been stopping by to read my posts this week and I just wanted to say a massive thank you! I've only been writing on here since April and sometimes it can be a bit daunting, as i'm sure you all know. Especially when you have no idea if people will listen to or agree with what you have to say or enjoy the type of thing you are talking about. So yeah, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all because I really enjoy posting on here and lovely comments make it even more worth while.

I've basically just been enjoying summer recently and the lovely weather that we have been having. I move to London to start my new job two weeks today so i'm just making the most of only working part time. Here's a few photos...a lot seem to be of the cat. He's just so cute and funny, I can't help it!

Fortnight In Photos #6

The weather has been absolutely fantastic during the past two weeks. I hope the sun manages to stay out for a bit longer because it's making me feel better about the fact that I have no more holidays booked for the rest of the summer. It was the hottest day of the year yesterday and with the weather like this you can just sit in the garden, close your eyes and pretend you are somewhere exotic. 

I've been working lots recently and even did a filming job this week, trying to save a bit of money for when I move up to London in August.  I got my results from University on Thursday and I swear I have never been so nervous in my life, refreshing the page every second as I waited for midday. I will be graduating with a 2:1 in Television Production, which i'm over the moon about! Yay! 

I'm moving out of my parents house in just under a month now so i've been spending a lot of time with them and my cat...i'm going to miss him like crazy. 

Taco time, delicious cocktails, pool day, chilling with Bigs, lovely cupcake, pretty flowers in the garden.

Cuddles, rediscovered some sunglasses, my mum when she was my age, sparkling water with lemon, lime and mint from the garden (post coming soon), random trip to McDonalds to get a thick shake, filming tool belt.

Fortnight in Photos #5

 This is more like 'Three Weeks in Photos' because I missed out on posting last week as I was in Morocco. You can check out the photos from that trip here if you want. There will be more to come later in the week. Again, i've had a very busy few weeks! But now that my holiday is over and Uni is completely finished, i'm expecting things to return back to normal for the next few weeks, before I move up to London to start my internship. I'm just hoping for some good weather in the UK so that it actually feels like summer.

Fortnight in Photos #4

It's been another crazy two weeks! I honestly thought that after I'd handed in my last ever essay at uni everything would come to a halt. But I have experienced the opposite and life has been non stop since that day. I recently entered an NHS film compeition called 'Organ Donation Through a Lens' and my film was shortlisted so i've been trying to promote it like mad for the past couple of weeks. They will choose an overall winner and the film with the most views will win the 'People's Favourite' award. The film is about the importance of organ donation and stars my friend Kate who was born with Cystic fibrosis and underwent a double lounge transplant last year. If you have a few minutes then it would mean a lot to me if you could watch the film and then share it with your friends and family. You can watch it here. 

I had only technically been 'unemployed' after finishing uni for about two weeks and luckily got the first job that I applied for! So I will now be moving to London for a year in August, which i'm pretty scared about but excited at the same time. Do any of you live in London? 

Lastly, I'm sorry for the lack of posts over the past few weeks. The number of days between each one seem to be getting bigger and bigger. Now that I feel like i'm back on track with life I should be posting on here more often and have a couple of ideas for some beauty related posts. 

I hope you've all had a lovely couple of weeks and have been enjoying the rare week of sun in the UK. Here are a few photos from life recently.

Fortnight in Photos #3

I've had another busy couple of weeks! What have you been up to?

Carved stones that I used to think were amazing when I was a child, my cat got in a fight with another cat so has scratches on his nose bless him, lots of body lotion to use up, goodies that my cousin very kindly brought over from the States, Maybelline polka dot nail polish, Smarties in a box- reminds me of childhood.

Pretty flowers in Salisbury, my brother came back from uni to visit, My Dad finally found me a coke with my name, trip to Windsor, phone broke so I didn't have one for three days -(which was actually quite nice) finally got a new one so got a new case, Bourjois BB Bronzing Cream- liking it so far.

Fortnight in Photos #2

The past two weeks have been a bit strange. Firstly because of the weather in the UK. One day it's lovely and sunny and the next it almost feels like winter again. Secondly because of where I am in life. I have just submitted my graduate film and now have to write my last essay which is due in a couple of weeks. After that i'll graduate from uni and go out into the big wide world to start the next chapter of my life. 

 Lighting a fire in April because it was freezing, candy floss clouds, sugar overload in the sun, editing my graduate project, Bigs being cute, new handbag for summer.

Balloon fun for a film about organ donation, directing, bright eBay blushes, Pimms and cake o'clock, picnic in the rain, seventh time seeing McFly (they get better every time).
