A Spring Like Saturday

Wearing mostly Primark today...

Jeggings- ASDA Wonderfit
Jumper- Primark
Jacket/ Coat- Primark
Shoes- Primark
Necklace- H&M
Sunglasses- Rayban Wayfarer

What lovely weather we are having in England! The sudden change in temperature makes it difficult to know what to wear. I decided to go for a light coat and a jumper so that I could get away with just wearing the jumper when I got too hot.  Even though it's sunny I don't think I could walk around in short sleeves just yet. I went to Shoreditch in London today to visit the new cat cafe 'Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium' which was lovely. After chilling with the cats this morning I then explored Brick Lane and took a look at Spitalfields Market.  So, here's my comfy outfit for a day out in London.

Hello Autumn

If I haven't made this clear already, I love Autumn time. The colours, the weather, the clothes. Anyone agree with me?

One of my favourite things about this time of year is the fact that I can start burning candles again. Not just any old scents either. Autumn means one thing...cinnamon. This one is from Ikea and I wish I'd bought a few more because I'm sure I'll be burning it every day for the next couple of months.

Another thing that I use a lot of during the colder months is hand cream. I've been using one by Burt's Bees which of course, smells like honey and has a nice thick consistency but isn't too greasy.

Every time I've been to Primark recently at least one pair of socks has ended up in my basket. They've got some really cute frilly ones in so many different colours which I've been wearing with a pair of ankle boots.

One of my favourite lip products right now is Revlon's Balm Stain in 005 Crush. It looks quite dark in the tube but if you don't want to go for too much of a dark lip then it's lovely when applied once and not built up too much.

I realised recently that I didn't own a red tartan scarf. I have a neutral coloured one somewhere and got a lovely bright green one from H&M last year, but I thought it was time to get a red version as it's a great staple to have in your wardrobe for Autumn/Winter. I found this one in Primark.

Recent Buys: April 2013

Left to right: Primark PJ bottoms £6.00, Topshop necklace £5.00, No7 Lip Crayon £9.00, Topshop shoes £18.00

I bought these pyjama bottoms in Primark the other day after instantly falling in love with them. They are just really pretty and lightweight making them perfect for summer nights...and lazy days.

It's usually worth having a look at the sale jewellery in Topshop and I'm glad I did. I love the bright colours and will probably wear this with a plain grey or white T-shirt. However, I don't think I would have paid the full price for it which was £10 but that's because I have enough necklaces that I hardly wear!

I picked up a No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in the shade Delicate Pink because I was expecting it to be like a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain which I love! (Or a Clinique Chubby Stick, which I haven't tried...yet).
I've used it a couple of times and have found that it is much more moisturising than the balm stains. It doesn't have the same staying power and is more of a cross between the balm stains and lip butters but overall I think it's a lovely product and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

I have wanted to buy a pair of flatforms for a while and found these Marley pumps on the Topshop website. As soon as I saw that they had been reduced to £18 from £30 in the sale I quickly snapped them up. I originally ordered them in Yellow but they ended up not having them in stock and I decided to get the coral pair to give them a try. I'm so glad I did because they are such a lovely colour and are actually really comfortable shoes. I'm pretty average height but it's nice to get some height without having to wear heels (which I don't get on with).

There are some pretty good bargains out there in the mid season sales. Have you found any?
