Soap & Glory | Supercat & Smoulder Kohl

Back to a beauty post today! I wear eyeliner pretty much every day and find the winged/ cat eye an easy, go to look. Even though i've practiced it almost every day for the past six...ish years I still struggle to get it looking perfect and struggle even more to make each eye look even.

This is why i'm always looking for good liquid eyeliners which can make the process that little bit easier. I've tried gels and liquids but find that the eyeliner pen is definitely a winner if you are trying to achieve this look on the go or don't have much time to spare. I've been using Soap and Glory's Supercat Liquid eyeliner pen for a couple of months now and can definitely see myself repurchasing it.

This pen goes on as a very thick black without fading at all throughout the day and if it does then you can easily go over it again. I have found  eyeliner pens to be disappointing in the past because they dry out so quickly, but not the supercat! I must have used it every day for the past two months now and it still isn't showing any signs of running out or drying up soon, *touches wood*. Soap & Glory say that you can create two looks with this pen, using the 'Fine point for a natural look' or the 'thick edge' for a 'dramatic finish'. This is difficult to achieve because the point isn't actually that fine and I find that as you draw the line across your eyelid you end up using the thicker edge anyway. Having said this, the pen does create a good sized line which is great because I find that a lot of the pens come out way too thick.

I also wanted to mention the Smoulder Kohl (also in black) because i've also been enjoying this and find its great product to use when i'm feeling lazy. The amazing thing about it is that it looks almost like a liquid eyeliner when you apply it along your eyelid because it's so soft and thick. (See how similar they are in the photo below). However, I do tend to stick with the liquid pen for creating lines and use the kohl if i'm going for a smokey eye or for using on my waterline. It blends amazingly and once blended it doesn't smudge or budge which is brilliant because it means you don't end up looking like a panda. The fact that it's waterproof also helps with this and this makes it a great eyeliner to use during the summer months.

Another great thing about the kohl is that it comes with a sharpener attached. I don't know about you but i'm always losing sharpeners so this is perfect, especially if you are on the go. The one downside of this eyeliner is that I find myself having to sharpen the kohl quite often. This is because it is extremely soft, so after using it once you lose the nice sharp edge. Not everyone will find this though, it just depends how sharp you want the tip to be. But £5 for a high quality eyeliner is a bargain and I really wouldn't mind having to buy this on a regular basis.

Have you tried these eyeliners or anything else from the Soap & Glory make up range?
