Grey Finds

I absolutely love the shop Anthropologie. However, I only ever browse because I find everything there a bit too over priced...actually most of it is a lot over priced. Don't get me wrong, pretty much everything they sell is absolutely beautiful and very good quality, but I personally can't justify spending £70 on a top.

I was in central London yesterday and walked past the Anthropolgie on Regent Street on my way to the tube station. I couldn't help but notice the giant "SALE- Up to 70% off" sign in the window so decided to pop in there and take a look...feeling pretty unhopeful. I was pleased to see that their current sale takes up almost a whole floor of the shop and isn't full of the clothes that no one wants to buy- there are actually some really pretty reduced items.

I ended up leaving with two grey (everything I have bought recently is grey) very cosy looking items of clothing, which I am in love with. Both were originally £68 marked down to £20 which made me like them even more. There's nothing particularly special about each item (most of the clothes in the store are covered in beads and flowers) but I am extremely pleased with them and so happy that I decided to pop in and have a look.

Have you picked up any unexpected bargains in the January sales?

Primark August 2013

I started my new job on Monday and I'm really enjoying it so far! However, it means that I'm going to have to make some sort of schedule for posts because otherwise I'll never end up posting anything as I'll feel like "I don't have time". I really don't want that to happen so i've decided to write on here every Wednesday and then one day of the weekend and see how it goes.

So today's post it all about Primark. I picked up a few things this month over the space of about three trips to different stores and wanted to share the things I got with you because I got some great bargains.

Dress- I love the print on this dress and think it will be perfect for Autumn. They have a few different prints and it's only £8.00!

Sweatshirt- I got this in the sale for £5. My friend got the blue version a couple of months ago and I couldn't believe it was from Primark when she told me. It's so nice! So when I saw the cream one also in the sale I snapped it up.

Baseball T- I love the casual style of these t-shirts and love it because i've never seen one with patterned sleeves before. It was also only £4 which is just amazing.

Make Up Bag and Earrings- I'd been looking for a large make up bag to take lots of the make up with me to London and knew that Primark sold ones that would be the perfect size. I found this bag and love the cut out heart detailing. I also got these earrings because they should go with everything. The earrings also come in a variety of colours so definitely check them out if you can.

Have you bought anything from Primark recently?

Feeling Dotty

I guess this is my first proper outfit post! Like i've said before, I am definitely no fashion expert and usually just wear what I think looks good. But I do enjoy clothes....a lot. I got this dress for my birthday last week from my mum. It's from ASOS and I believe it was then in the sale after she got it but I can't actually find it on the website anymore. They have so many similar styles and prints though so it's definitely worth taking a look. I did find this one that isn't in the sale but isn't expensive either.

Skater style dresses are brilliant because if you are feeling a bit lazy you can just throw one on and you're pretty much good to go. I didn't even really bother with jewellery when I wore this because I thought the bold print said enough by itself. I don't know if you can see in the photo but I am wearing a gold above knuckle ring on my right hand, a bright red essie polish on my nails and Primark leopard print shoes to add a tiny bit of detail and colour.

I am so pleased with this dress! Sometimes ASOS own clothes can be a bit hit and miss and I really wasn't expecting the quality of this dress to be very good. But they surprised me and the material is actually really nice and feels like it will last.

Daisy Chain

Photos taken by my lovely boyfriend Ben on 35mm film.

I've really enjoyed wearing statement necklaces recently. I love how much detail they can add to a really plain outfit. I never spend very much on them though because I'm never sure if I will like the way they look, especially if I pick one that's quite...over the top.

I found this daisy necklace in the Topshop sale last week for £3.50! If you can then i'd definitely recommend having a look through their jewellery section because they have some lovely pieces reduced at the moment. I don't usually pay full price for things like this anyway...I don't know about you (and I don't know why) but I get bored of them easily. I also find this is a good way to try something that is a bit out of your comfort zone sometimes, without wasting your money.

Here, I'm wearing the necklace with a black top from New Look and pleated purple maxi skirt which was also a Topshop sale find. I love the cut out shoulders of the top and feel like the necklace dresses it up a bit more, making the outfit more summery.

Have you been wearing statement necklaces? What do you like to wear them with?
